How is information Collected

Personal Information is provided by you while filling out our application form. We may also receive Personal Information on your wage and job performance from program employers who we place you with for a work-experience term.

Purpose of Collection

Personal Information is collected for the purposes of administering the program, assessing a candidate’s application for participation in the program, establishing and administering a participant's temporary employment with the relevant employers, and for the evaluation and accountability of the program.

Third-party Disclosure

We may disclose your Personal Information to the following third parties:

Program Participants (Third Party Participants) - Your Personal Information may be shared with the Alberta Construction Association, its hired contractors, other participating employers, a community organization that has referred you to Trade Pathways, and the Government of Alberta. Upon request, we will provide you with an up-to-date list of our Program Participants.

Third Party Service Providers - We may use third-party service providers to assist us with providing and marketing our products and services to you and we may share your information with such third parties for these limited purposes.


Business Transfers - If we are involved in strategic transactions, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, or transition of service to another provider (collectively a “Transaction”), your Personal Information and other information may be disclosed in the diligence process with counterparties and others assisting with the Transaction and transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that Transaction along with other assets.

Legal Requirements - If required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) prevent fraud, (iv) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services, or the public, or (v) protect against legal liability.

Affiliates - We may disclose Personal Information to our affiliates, meaning an entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control of our company. Your Personal Information will be stored electronically with appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access. Your Personal Information will only be available as disclosed above, and will only be made available to employees or contractors who require it in order to provide our services to you.

Retention of Information

Your Personal Information will be retained until August 31, 2031 in order to comply with reporting requirements from the Government of Alberta. After this time, records containing your Personal Information will be destroyed or altered to render the Personal Information non‑identifying so that it can no longer be used to identify you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will notify you by posting an update on this website, unless another type of notice is required by applicable law. By continuing to use our Service or providing us with Personal Information after we have posted an updated Privacy Policy, or notified you by other means, you consent to the revised Privacy Policy.
